Homicide suspect held in jail on $500K bond
SHAWANO — A Shawano County judge ordered a 20-year-old Birnamwood man accused of killing his father Tuesday held in jail on a $ 500,000 cash bond.
Joshua P. Johnson was charged Thursday with first-degree intentional murder in connection with the death of 53-year-old Donald D. Johnson of Birnamwood. Joshua Johnson faces life in prison if convicted of the charge.
Police were called at about 7:20 a.m. Tuesday to the Johnsons' home at W17807 Eland Road for a report that Donald Johnson was dead, according to the Shawano County Sheriff's Department.
Joshua Johnson is scheduled to appear Tuesday in Shawano County Circuit Court for a preliminary hearing.
