Police: Family also Targeted after Stockton’s 60th Homicide

Police are on scene Sunday for Stockton's 60th manslaughter off of Fox Creek. Nearly a dozen evidence markers are scattered around the block, each one marking a shell casing.

The victim; a 20-year-old man.

Police say the manslaughter occurred around 10:30 p.m. Saturday, but the shooter continued firing – towards a car full of children across the street.

A 22-year-old male and his 9-year-old nephew are in stable condition.

Three other children — a 5 and 4-year-old, plus a 5-month-old — were also in the car at the time but weren't hurt.

"This suspect or suspects were very malicious and very bold for targeting a family," says Officer Joe Silva of the Stockton Police Department.

Police say they have at least one suspect in mind, but have not made any arrests.
