Homicide suspected in shooting at Raleigh mobile home park

RALEIGH -- Police homicide investigators early Wednesday were called to a mobile home park off Buffaloe Road after a male victim was found dead.

Police did not divulge the victim's age or specify how he died, but they were initially called to a shooting at about 1 a.m., spokesman Jim Sughrue said.

They were treating the case as a homicide, he said.

The scene was in the 6100 block of Foxhall Village Road in northeast Raleigh, in the 60-acre Foxhall Village mobile home park.

Police called a tow truck to the scene, but it was not immediately known how a vehicle was involved.

As the morning progressed, police directed school buses to temporary locations to pick up children from the neighborhood because investigators had closed off the scene at the north end of Foxhall Village Road.
