Homicide reported in North Camden

CAMDEN — Police reported a homicide Tuesday night in the area of the Northgate II high-rise apartment complex in the Pyne Poynt section of the city, according to police radio.

Officers responded to the report of a shooting and reported a body was found between buildings in the 600 block of Elm Street in North Camden around 9:15 p.m. The Camden County Prosecutor's Office was called to the crime scene and spokesman Jason Laughlin confirmed there was a homicide, but had no other information.

Around the same time the body was discovered, a high-speed chase erupted close by the high-rise apartments. It was unclear if the chase was related to the reported homicide.
