Fire reveals homicide

LITTLE ROCK, AR – It began as a reported fire but once the flames were out, it turned into a homicide investigation. Investigators are now trying to determine who is responsible for the death of a man found in a burning SUV.

Sergeant Cassandra Davis with Little Rock Police identifies the victim as 41 year old Wesley Burris. Police are not yet releasing the man's cause of death, but they say it is a homicide case.

Little Rock firefighters were called to 27 Point West Circle just after 10:00 Saturday night, when neighbors heard a smoke alarm sounding. Firefighters found a Honda SUV ablaze in the garage. The flames were doused and inside the vehicle they found the man's body.
