D.C. police investigate overnight homicide in Northeast

A man was killed in Northeast D.C. in an overnight incident that police are investigating as a homicide.

According to police, a 36-year-old man was found in an alley near the corner of Oates and 16th streets NE shortly before midnight.

The victim, whose identity has not been released, was suffering from blunt force trauma, police said. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
