Homicide suspect competent to stand trial

A young Preble County man who is accused of killing a man and setting a fire to cover up the crime was found competent to stand trial.

Joshua Estes, 21, is accused of killing 60-year-old Terence Griggs in October. Investigators said Estes then set fire to the victim's Fairhaven home.

Estes pleaded not guilty to a murder charge and to aggravated arson. He is scheduled to go on trial in June.
