Va. Homicide Victims Identified; Suspect Still Wanted

RICHMOND, Va. (WUSA) -- Two people, killed in an apparent armed robbery, have been identified. 

Edward Lee Bowmer Jr., 60, of Mechanicsville and Robin Sheryl Clapp, 56, were found dead inside a Richmond home at 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve, police said. 

The incident happened at the 800 block of North 35th Street. When police got to the house, they found the two bodies in the home. A vehicle, with a 2-year-old boy inside, had been stolen from the scene as well. 

Police searched for the toddler, Kaiden Burnside, for hours. They later found her safe inside the stolen vehicle near the 1800 block of Jennie Scher Road.

Police have identified the suspect as Jamal Louis Clemons, 27, of the 700 block of 35th Street, in Richmond. 

"He is considered armed and dangerous. Clemons is a black male, approximately 5-feet-7 to 5-feet-10 inches tall with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie and baggie blue jeans. He has a full beard," police said.
