Metro Police are investigating a possible homicide in a residence near Swenson Street and Twain Avenue.

Homicide investigators were at the scene as of 10 a.m. Tuesday after a body was found inside a residence in the 3700 block of Hazelwood Street.

Officer Jay Rivera said investigators were "still trying to figure out exactly what it is that happened there."

Although the incident initially appeared to be a home invasion, Rivera said officers were trying to determine the relationship between the victim and the suspect, indicating a domestic dispute could be involved.

No other information about the incident was available.

Authorities said they would release further details later today. This story will be updated as the situation develops.
