Two bodies have been found inside a restaurant in Burnaby, B.C., and police are investigating the case as a double homicide.

Sgt. Jennifer Pound says a passerby called 911 at about 9:30 Sunday night after spotting a person lying on the floor of the business, just a few blocks east of the busy Metrotown mall.

When police arrived they found the second body inside the sushi restaurant.

Pound says few details are available but the first officers at the scene determined both deaths appeared suspicious and alerted the homicide team.

She says members spent the night trying to determine the identity of each victim and how they might be related.

Pound hasn't said if any suspects have been identified but she says police want to speak to anyone who may have any information about the killings.
