Torso found in Niagara River sparks murder probe

A woman's torso was recovered from the lower Niagara River and police say the death resulted from a murder.

Niagara Regional Police say citizens spotted the remains floating in the river on Wednesday afternoon.

Police subsequently recovered the torso, which was missing arms and a head.

The remains belong to a female, whom police have concluded "was the victim of a murder."
