Homicide investigation in Tallyrand

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has found a body in a car Saturday morning on the 5700 block of Evergreen Avenue.

JSO received a call at 8:34 a.m. about an abandoned vehicle, when officers arrived they found the body of a male inside of it.

"We do not have identification on the black male, and that black male had injuries to his body which led us [Jacksonville Sheriff's Office] to believe those injuries aren't natural and we are treating the investigation as a homicide," said Sgt. M.A. Paul with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Homicide.

The investigation is still on going and First Coast News will continue to update the as more information is released.
