Homicide charges filed in death of 1-year-old Saltsburg boy

SALTSBURG, Pa. —

Homicide charges were filed against an Indiana County man accused of killing his girlfriend's 16-month-old son.

Colby Jozepzcyk died in March at his home in Saltsburg when he was found unresponsive in his playpen. According to police, he was covered with bruises and was malnourished.

Neighbor Crystal Ashbaugh said she remembers the day emergency workers were called to Jozepzcyk's house.

"I tried to avoid it because I didn't know exactly what was going on," Ashbaugh said. "I was keeping my son inside. I was shocked to find out the boy didn't make it."

Police will release more details Thursday afternoon at a 1 p.m. press conference about the homicide charges filed against Shawn Anderson-Holmes.

Anderson-Holmes remains in the Indiana County Jail without bail.
