Murder case witness tells of weapon disposal
A prosecution witness in a murder case has told an Adelaide court he helped the accused get rid of a knife and other items.
Market gardener Tuyet Van Do, 59, was beaten to death outside his caravan at a market garden at Waterloo Corner in November 2010.
Three youths were charged and two pleaded guilty.
A man, 18, has gone on trial in the Supreme Court this week for murder.
A prosecution witness told the Adelaide hearing he drove the accused teenager and the two other youths to scrubland to dispose of a shovel, some bloodied shoes and a knife.
The witness told the court that he heard the accused say that he "got a sweet hit" on a guy, after the alleged vicious attack.
The witness said the accused then showed him his swollen hand.
