Man charged with homicide of taxi driver

Moses Ayanwole, 41, who had been living in Ireland for 15 years, had been working in the city centre when he sustained head injuries during a row at Pearse Street, on 21 November last year.

William Keegan, of Pearse House, in Dublin 2, was charged this afternoon at Pearse Street Garda station with unlawfully killing Mr Ayanwole.

He was remanded on bail to appear at Cloverhill District Court on 26 June.

Mr Ayanwole, who had lived at Rusheeny Grove, Hartstown, west Dublin, was the father of a 12-year-old boy.

He went into a coma after being taken to St James's Hospital and died two days later.
