Police Investigating Homicide; Victim Shot In Back

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Columbus police are investigating a manslaughter in the North Linden neighborhood of Columbus.

According to Columbus police, officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of Myrtle Avenueat 3:47 a.m. Saturday on a report of a shooting.

Officers found 27-year-old Shawndel Woods inside the residence with a gunshot wound to the back.

Woods was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have no suspects of motive for the manslaughter.

Anyone with information regarding this manslaughter is asked to call Columbus police at 635-4730.

Police said this was the 16th manslaughter of 2012.
