SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KCRA) -- Homicide detectives will take over the lead role in the investigation into a 22-month-old's whereabouts.Dwight Stallings hasn't been seen by friends or family members since April 2011.Sacramento County Sheriff's Department spokesman Jason Ramos said despite Homicide Bureau detectives now handling the case, it remains a missing child investigation -- not a death investigation, according to a news release. They're taking over "due to the unusual circumstances," Ramos said.Investigators learned of the situation when Dwight's mother, Tanisha Edwards, was arrested last week and couldn't tell authorities where her child was.On Friday morning, volunteers will hand out and post fliers with Dwight's photo and some additional information.Volunteers will meet with detectives at 10 a.m. in front of the Burlington Coat Factory, at 5601 Florin Road in Sacramento.
