Police investigate apparent homicide
Police are investigating an apparent homicide in Canberra after a woman was found dead with multiple stab wounds.
The body of a 30-year-old woman was found by a relative in a room of the house in Macgregor around 4:00pm AEDT yesterday.
The woman had sustained a number of stab wounds.
Overnight police carried out a search warrant and seized a number of items for forensic examination.
They expect to carry out further search warrants today.
Police say two men are currently assisting them with their enquires.
A post mortem examination will be conducted tomorrow.
Police say they are unable to provide any further details about the woman until all family members are notified.
