A 22-year-old Chicago man was charged with reckless homicide with a motor vehicle in connection with a crash that killed an Oak Lawn woman early Friday morning on the Southwest Side, according to police.
Mario Mandujano, of the 4700 block of South Kedvale Avenue, was also cited with driving under the influence, negligent driving, failure to reduce speed, and striking a fixture or other property, police said.
Susan Pintor, 23, died in the crash. She was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital, authorities said.
Police said Mandujano rear-ended a car and then crashed into a pole on the 4900 block of South Pulaski Road. Pintor was in the back seat, police said.
Three other people in the car with Pintor, including Mandujano, were taken to area hospitals with serious injuries.
A booking photo of Mandujano wasn't available because he's still in the hospital, police said.
