PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - Portsmouth Police are investigating a triple shooting early Friday morning that took the lives of three men along Lincoln Street.
Jan Westerbeck with the Portsmouth Police Department told WAVY.com officers responded to a home in the 800 block of Lincoln Street just before 1 a.m. for a report of a shooting.
Westerbeck says there were four people inside the home at the time of the shooting. When officers arrived they found three males suffering from gunshot wounds. The fourth person was not injured.
Two people were pronounced dead at the scene while a third was transported to Maryview Hospital. He later died.
Westerbeck has identified the victims as Elijah Marquese Randall, 27, Marcus Antonio Allen, 28, and Marcus Antwann Parker, 30.
"I know they got killed for nothing," friend of the victims Chanell Deans said. "They don't do nothing. They don't bother nobody."
WAVY.com spoke with one of the victim's family members.
"[Elijah] was a hard-working young man in the prime of his life 27 years old," Randall's uncle Darryl P. Eley said. "He worked at Norfolk International Airport."
Family and friends gathered at the scene until after 8 a.m. when the bodies were removed from the residence. Many family members told WAVY.com that the three men that died were good friends.
"We're hurt. We're grieving," one of the victim's relatives Frank Green said. "All three were decent. Never been in trouble, good friends and all grew up together."
Police have not released any suspect information.
