Murder arrest boy 'knew victim'
Officers have been involved in a forensic search of the property
A 16-year-old boy arrested on suspicion of murdering a woman in Dorset knew the victim, police have said.
The boy was held after police were called to the flat in Benville Road, Weymouth, on Saturday following reports that a woman had been injured.
When officers arrived at the address they discovered the woman's body.
Det Insp Marcus Hester said he wanted to reassure the public that all parties involved were known to each other and appealed for information.
Forensic science experts have been searching the property.
A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out on the woman, whose identity or age have not yet been released.
Mr Hester added: "I'm renewing my appeal for anyone who saw anything suspicious or unusual in the Benville Road area between 11am on Friday 20 July and 1pm on Saturday 21 July 2012 to contact Dorset Police urgently."
