JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Homicide detectives with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office investigate a triple shooting in the 3700 block of Emerson street.

It happened at the Wacko's in the St. Nichols area on Jacksonville's Southside.

Sgt. Jay Farhat with the JSO tells us a disturbance broke out inside Wacko's and three people were asked to leave.

The three went outside where another disturbance erupted between them and an armed security guard.

Police say the guard shot the three.

The victims then got into a car and drove away from the scene. But police stopped their vehicle a short time later at a Taco Bell in the area.

Right now one of the victims is at Shands suffering from life threatening injuries.

The guard is in police custody. He's being questioned to determine if his actions were justified.
