Calgary police release homicide victim's name

Police are now identifying a homicide victim from earlier this week.

2100 block of 16th Street southwest CAlgary

Police were called after a man was seen falling to the ground in front of a home in the 2100 block of 16th Street southwest early Wednesday morning.

The man was transported to hospital in life-threatening condition.

Calgary's Gatleak Thor Metkurjock, 20, died in hospital Thursday from blunt force trauma. Police said he had just left a party when he collapsed.

They don't believe his death was an accident and the homicide unit is investigating.
