LAS VEGAS -- The murder indictment against a Las Vegas doctor will stand.

District Court Judge Valeria Adair ruled Wednesday that the murder indictment against Dr. Dipak Desai will stay in place.

Desai is charged in the death of a patient who contracted hepatitis C following a colonoscopy at one of Desai's clinics.

Desai's endoscopy clinics are linked to an outbreak of the disease.
