North Charleston homicide suspect arrested after car chase

Kadrin R. Singleton, 22, of Lebsl Court in Summerville was arrested Nov. 25, 2012, and charged with murder in a Nov. 20 homicide on Cambridge Street in North Charleston.

A suspect in a North Charleston homicide was arrested after a chase today, according to police.

Kadrin R. Singleton, 22, of Lebsl Court in Summerville was arrested after a Charleston County deputy chased down his car in Lincolnville, North Charleston police spokesman Spencer Pryor said. He was wanted for a homicide on Cambridge Street Tuesday night.

Singleton was charged with murder, failure to stop for a blue light, resisting arrest and possession of a stolen vehicle. He is being held at the Charleston County jail. No bail was set on the murder charge, and $ 30,000 total bail was set on the other three charges.

Concerning the homicide, North Charleston police got a call around 11 p.m. Tuesday that shots had been fired in a house on Cambridge Street. Police found Sharrell Williams, 30, of North Charleston dead of a gunshot wound, according to investigators.

A witness told police that two black men came into the home, robbed Williams and a gun went off.

Police arrested Christopher Maurice Felder, 21, of Summerville that night and charged him with murder. He remains in the Charleston County jail.

Investigators believe some type of drug deal went bad, Pryor said.
