Homicide police probe missing Vic woman
Homicide police have taken over the investigation into the disappearance of a young Victorian woman whose abandoned car was found in Melbourne.
Sarah Cafferkey, 22, was last seen by her family at her home in Bacchus Marsh, west of Melbourne, on Friday November 9.
Homicide detectives took over the investigation because Ms Cafferkey's car was found in Melbourne's northwest on Thursday night in Owen Street, Maribyrnong, a location unfamiliar to her family, police said.
She has not accessed her bank account since her disappearance.
Her family says Ms Cafferkey suffers from a rare form of asthma which requires constant medication.
She is described as caucasian, with a fair complexion, thin build, black shoulder-length hair and green eyes.
