Framingham man's murder trial scheduled

WOBURN - A Framingham man accused of killing his wife is scheduled to go to trial next September.

A Middlesex Superior Court judge this week scheduled Kyle Alleyne's murder trial for Sept. 22, 2012, more than two years after authorities say he killed his wife, Heather, in their apartment.

The MetroWest Daily News reports that the trial was originally scheduled to start last month, but the defendant's lawyer withdrew citing a breakdown in communication with his client.

Prosecutors say the 26-year-old Alleyne fatally stabbed his 19-year-old wife in August 2010 just days after she gave birth to a daughter. Authorities say he was angry because he was not the father.

He was arrested several days after the killing in Texas.

Kyle Alleyne is being held without bail after pleading not guilty.
