Homicide investigation launched over missing man

A homicide investigation is underway into the suspicious disappearance of a 44-year-old High Wycombe man nearly three years ago.

Dean Anthony Pollard was last seen in March 2010 near a fast food outlet in Midland, before being reported missing by his father.

Police say Mr Pollard has not been in contact with family, including his 14-year-old daughter who lives in Tasmania, and has not accessed his bank account.

Senior Sergeant Greg Macdonald from Major Crime says police would like to hear from people in the eastern hills area.

"At this stage, we have some information which raises our concerns but there is clearly, we believe, a great deal more information out there in the community," he said.

"There are people who know Dean who may be able to assist us and give us some information that will assist our investigation."
