Cops investigating Elgin woman's death as a homicide

Authorities have launched a homicide investigation after finding a 33-year-old Elgin woman dead early Saturday.

Officers found the woman dead shortly after 2:30 a.m. Saturday in the 0-100 block of Garden Crescent Court. Police have described the death as "suspicious."

Late Saturday, the Elgin Police Department identified the woman as Lisa E. Koziol-Ellis and said she lived at the same address where she was found.

Police also confirmed that authorities are investigating her death as a homicide.

An autopsy will be performed by the Kane County Coroner to determine the official cause of death.
